this pattern was originally published in 2017 as part of the tiptoe collection. it received a facelift in 2020.

handknit socks are like a hug for your feet. and there are some beautiful, elaborate, fancy hugs out there in the form of sock patterns. sometimes, though, you just want a good solid squeeze. one that will show off the basic beauty of you, and your yarn. sometimes, you just want a blank slate.

needles: US 1 (2.25mm) dpns OR circular needles appropriate for preferred method, or size needed to obtain gauge

yarn: 399 yards (365 metres), 115g of fingering weight yarn

notions: 2 stitch markers, sock blockers (optional)
