swatching the tarot (2020)
in 2020, i explored the major arcana of the tarot by creating a swatch for every card, using canadian wool dyed with local dye plants. the series became a photo and audio diary shared as 10-ish minute videos on instagram, explaining some of the story behind the swatches and their design decisions.
the swatches became the initial stages in designing a full series of sock patterns. the major arcana socks were published in three volumes between 2021-2023, and are available as individual patterns as well as in volumes of 7 or 8 patterns.
