rose hips are the understated powerhouse of the vitamin c world. traditionally used to reduce the chance of scurvy among other health maladies, they are still regularly used for their medicinal properties in the forms of oils and teas. harvest them yourself from the branches of wild rose bushes, but be careful you don’t get pricked by thorns!
needles: US 3 (3.25mm) dpns, or size needed to obtain gauge
yarn: 230 yards (210 metres), 50g of fingering weight yarn
