sometimes we have those skeins in our stash from a special trip, destined for a special knit, to be worn at a special event, surrounded by special people. this design was born from one of those skeins. purchased during a road trip with fellow fibre nerds at tolt yarn & wool in washington state, i knew it needed to become a lightweight and lacy shawl for a special wedding. it sat patiently for multiple years, then was quickly whipped on and off my needles, dragged all around iceland, and finally received its proper debut at the most beautiful wedding in nova scotia. the fibre co.’s colour palette has something for everyone - knit one up for yourself or for a dear one in your own life.

needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 32” (80cm) circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

yarn: 549 yards (502 metres), 100g of light fingering weight yarn
sample shown in the fibre co.’s meadow (40% merino/25% baby llama/20% silk/15% linen, 549 yards 502 metres, 100g) x 1 skein in prairie

notions: tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers

gauge: 16 stitches x 26 rows = 4” (10cm), over stockinette, blocked
